The Story of Sérénité en Bourgogne

For Albert Fouquet, September was the most eagerly anticipated month of the year. He would return to his family's château in Burgundy to personally oversee the annual grape harvest, surrounded by some of the family's finest vineyards.

Before the harvest began, Albert enjoyed the peaceful rhythm of life in the countryside. His mornings started with breakfast overlooking the vineyards, followed by long walks, reading, and time dedicated to his passion for creating perfumes.

The rich soil and climate of Burgundy also provided an ideal environment for growing flowers and plants for his fragrance creations. Albert cultivated these precious materials in a spacious garden at the château.

Each day at noon, Albert, Simon, and Thomas would gather for the traditional "berry tasting." By tasting grapes directly from the vines, they assessed their sugar levels and determined the ideal moment to begin harvesting.

Once the harvest began, the peaceful atmosphere transformed into approximately 20 days of energetic collaboration and celebration. At the end of the season, Albert followed family tradition by hosting a grand gathering for the harvesters, winemakers, friends, and everyone who had contributed to the harvest.

Albert named this olfactory creation Sérénité en Bourgogne to express the tranquility and contentment he experienced during his time in the Burgundy countryside.
