Onder de Linde by Baruti is a joyful, uplifting floral fragrance inspired by the peaceful beauty of the Dutch countryside in early summer. Created by perfumer Spyros Drosopoulos, the composition draws inspiration from Johannes Vermeer's iconic painting The Milkmaid, capturing the warmth and simplicity of a sunlit rural landscape. Juicy pear brings a refreshing fruity sweetness, while lilac and linden blossom take center stage with their delicate, honeyed floral character. Because these blossoms cannot be extracted naturally for perfumery, Drosopoulos carefully reconstructed their aromas using fragrance molecules, creating a realistic impression of flowers in full bloom.
Honey enhances the composition's gentle sweetness, while orris root introduces a refined, powdery softness. Creamy vanilla and smooth sandalwood add comforting warmth, complemented by the earthy character of vetiver and the softness of musk.
