Egypt was one of the most exclusive fragrances created by Albert Fouquet.

In 1935, Albert fulfilled a promise to visit his childhood friend Ahmed in Egypt while also pursuing one of his personal dreams. Fascinated by ancient Egyptian culture, he explored the Great Pyramid of Giza, the temples of Luxor, and the temple of Hatshepsut.

For Albert, Egypt was more than a destination. It offered the opportunity to explore the historic birthplace of perfume and investigate the essences that had been used for thousands of years.

He was fascinated by the aromatic substances offered to the gods, the perfumes associated with pharaohs, and the legendary scents connected with Cleopatra.

His visit became even more inspiring when he arrived at Ahmed's villa and discovered an impressive garden filled with flowers unfamiliar to him. Surrounded by these new aromas and sensations, Albert planned a second journey only four months later with the specific intention of finding inspiration for a unique perfume.

After weeks of intense work at Ahmed's villa, Albert continued perfecting the composition after returning to his château in Paris. The final formula became Egypt, joining his exclusive private perfume collection.
